Blending Bliss
I know it is a little early yet, but since this event is so popular I wanted you to mark your calendars and make sure to sign up early for our 4th Annual Blending Bash on November 9th as space is limited. This is the chance for wine aficionados and interested novices alike to wet their pipettes and try their hand at wine blending. For $500 per blender, guests are warmly welcomed onto the Galante property and treated to an educational and entertaining afternoon. The ticket price includes a fabulous lunch prepared by Jack Galante himself, all the wine you could ever hope to taste, an informative seminar on wine blending, and, after blending your own wine, a fun and friendly blind tasting competition. Included in the cost of the event is a full case of your own one-of-a-kind blend with your custom label to add to your wine cellar. Additional cases are available if you wish. So, if you would like to be a Master Blender then come on out and try your hand. Oh, guests of the Master Blender who would like to assist or just have a great lunch and enjoy the seminar can purchase tickets for $100 each. These tickets do not include a case of wine. Call (831-624-3800) or email Danielle to reserve your spot today!

Jack’s Saddlebag – Happy Trails Old Friend
We are sad to announce that our wonderful bull, Victor, passed away peacefully in his sleep the other day. Victor was a fixture at the ranch for the past 18 years. We originally purchased Victor at the Cow Palace in San Francisco where he was crowned the Grand Champion when he was only 2 years old. For those of you who knew Victor, he was a gentle giant. He weighed in at over 2,500 pounds and loved to be scratched, especially behind the ears. Bulls like Victor usually have a life span of 10 to 12 years, but life is good for a bull at Rancho Galante! He spent his twilight years in retirement, hanging around the ranch house or by the pond – pretty much having his run of the place. As he aged and it was harder for him to get around, so we brought him grain and treats along with his medications for arthritis. We will surely miss him but we know that he is now in that big pasture in the sky. Happy Trails old friend.

Cheers!
Jack Galante
